# Phonic

> Python API reference for the phonic realtime models provider.

## PhonicRealtime

Speech-to-speech conversation with Phonic, using your own Phonic API key. Choose it
for a telephony-tuned voice model that handles turn-taking and interruptions itself.

Authenticates with PHONIC\_API\_KEY from your environment, or an explicit
`api_key`.

### Fields

**model** `str | None` (default: UNSET)

Phonic model name, e.g. "phonic-1". None uses Phonic's current default model. Defaults to None (not set).

**config** `Mapping[str, Any] | None` (default: UNSET)

Conversation settings such as voice, languages, welcome message and silence timers. Defaults to None (not set).

**base\_url** `str | None` (default: UNSET)

WebSocket URL of the Phonic conversations endpoint. Defaults to None (not set).
